About Us
Swim Club at Indiana University (SCIU) is part of the Indiana University Division of Recreational Sports Club Sports system and has been active since 1999. The club has a philosophy of providing quality training to a variety of competitive swimming abilities in a relaxed and motivating environment (we take everyone!). We believe that this is your next step towards "Swimming for a Lifetime." Swim Club at Indiana University, a nonprofit organization, is run by its elected officer board made up of student members. ALL members are encouraged to be involved in team administration, activities, and fundraisers. We are constantly growing and proud to train swimmers through a positive and well-rounded competitive swim program.

- Bill Ramos ([1999-2025] Founder, Former Advisor, Former Head Coach, and Friend)
“When Everyone Swims” is an upcoming documentary, and our very own Bill Ramos will be a famous movie star! Here is a description of the documentary: “IU Alum Jerald Harkness had the idea to create the documentary 'When Everyone Swims' based on his own experience with the water and things he had heard throughout his life about how access to the water also helps tell part of America’s history. In the end, the piece hopes to inspire everyone to use the water as a happy place throughout their life.”
